Welcome to the Citizen Portal

This portal is used for the below:

  • Applying for a school place
  • Applying for Free School Meals

Please be aware that a small number of users may have difficulty in accessing the system from a mobile device, very often linked to the text sizing of that device, some users have found they cannot find a SUBMIT button. If this does occur, try turning your device to landscape (on its side) to enlarge the information you can see on your screen. If you continue to have any difficulties, you can also try using a laptop or computer.

School Admissions Applications

The system is available for School Admission Applications from 1st September 2023 onwards.

For starting school or transferring to the next phase of education for September 2024, this portal must only be used by Worcestershire Residents, those that pay council tax to Worcestershire County Council. If you pay your council tax to any other Local Authority, such as Birmingham City, Warwickshire CC, Gloucestershire CC, Dudley MBC etc you will need to use that Local Authority website to apply.

If you are making an application to transfer in-year from the same year group in one school to the same year group in another school now, you can use this system for any Worcestershire School, no matter where you are resident.

Free School Meal Applications

This portal should be used by anyone attending a Worcestershire school apart from:

  • Bengeworth CE Academy
  • Bretforton Village School
  • Carnforth School
  • Hollymount School
  • Stanley Road Primary School
  • Woodrush High School

Applications will need to be made directly to these schools.

Using the Portal

If you have previously registered and used the Portal within the last year or two, you should use the Email Address you used to register and your Password. If you have forgotten your password, use the link to Forgotten Your Password? It is important to check your Spam/Junk folder for this reminder. If you are creating an account for the first time you will need to:

  1. Register your details using the Register button and complete the registration form.
  2. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to activate your account. Remember to check your Spam/Junk folder.
  3. Click the link in your confirmation email to activate your account. Your account will not allow you to create an application until it is activated. Failure to click the link within a day or so may mean you will have to register again.
  4. Please note for School Admissions applications, once you have activated your account, you can re-enter the site at any time until the closing date to create or update an application. PLEASE NOTE THAT MAKING AMENDMENTS TO AN APPLICATION YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED WILL UN-SUBMIT THAT APPLICATION. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO RE-SUBMIT THE APPLICATION AFTER MAKING ANY CHANGES.
  5. If you are applying for Free School Meal applications, these can be made any time during the year for your child’s current school. If applying for your child’s next school, you must wait until you have accepted a place at that school. If your child is starting school in September, we will acknowledge your application now and confirm arrangements with you and your child's school in August, but we will keep your details until then. No need to reapply.
